ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

CBI was incorporated over 35 years ago as an Environmental Services Company located in Fort Lauderdale.  We now have facilities in Ft. Pierce, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Jacksonville, Cape Canaveral Tampa and Portsmouth, VA and have 180 personnel on staff (full time employees) who do work in one of three divisions:

(a) Environmental Services
(b) Used Oil Operations.
(c) Water Treatment Operations

Our field personnel are 40 hour OSHA certified along with extensive training in use and maintenance of all the heavy equipment associated with any major environmental response, industrial maintenance or site remediation work.  Our management staff is augmented with a former USCG Captain of the Port, a Professional Geologist, a Certified Environmental Trainer, two Certified Hazardous Material Managers and senior personnel from Florida Power & Light.   Capitalizing on sound leadership and an aggressive business plan, CBI has grown into a nationally recognized leader in providing Environmental Services.

We feel our company's growth is due to the quality of our people, our focus on customer service, our reputation for reliability and the value we offer a client....NOT... any salesmanship efforts.  We are very proud of this heritage and work hard to ensure it remains that way.

Our operational response experience base is wide and varied.  CBI does environmental clean-up activities, industrial maintenance, industrial tank cleaning and site remediation of all types & sizes in the SE United States and the Caribbean arena.  We have service agreements with the USCG, State of Florida as well as local counties for both oil and hazardous materials response work.  CBI requested and has undergone a comprehensive audit by the USCG to validate the capabilities of our environmental services, the training of our personnel and the maintenance of our equipment.  The result of which was our formal certification as a full service Oil Spill Removal Organization pre-approved to do environmental response work on behalf of the USCG.

Waste Disposal .
Our Waste Disposal Division collects and disposes of: used oils, petroleum contact water (PCW), industrial water, oil filters and oiled sorbents/rags through our processing facility in Miami.  Our Miami facility is state of the art.  It is fully licensed and permitted by the State of Florida as well as the local county.  Our client list for the water treatment facility includes: Mobil Oil, ASI Corporation, Shell, GATX, all the major Cruise Lines, CITGO, Coastal Fuels, Amoco, Chevron, Westinghouse etc.  As with these corporations, we urge any customer who wishes to use our waste disposal or water treatment services to audit our facility and compare it to any other.  We find that having the environmental engineers of large corporations come and audit our plant is the best marketing strategy we have.
